No one starts a business with the primary goal of winning industry awards and kudos. That's certainly true of Deazy. We believed we had a model and proposition to connect enterprises and agencies with high-end development talent and set out to make that happen.
We think we are doing well in that regard. With several months to go, it's already stellar 2022 for Deazy. We've announced a Series A funding round, built a growing roster of enterprise clients, expanded the team and completed our transition to a platform.
We've also enjoyed a number of award wins. They are a testament to the hard work we put in across the organisation, and while winning awards was not the goal, that doesn't mean we aren't incredibly proud of what we have achieved.
Here is an overview of our recent successes.
Deazy was ranked number 13 in the 2022 Deloitte UK Technology Fast 50, a ranking of the 50 fastest-growing technology companies in the UK. Rankings are based on percentage revenue growth over the last four years.
The ranking celebrated an awesome 2,615 per cent growth during this period. The ranking also placed us as the third fastest growing company in the South-West.
Every year, LDC – the private equity arm of Lloyds Banking Group – compiles a list of the 50 most ambitious business leaders in the UK. It is painstakingly researched, involving hundreds of interviews, and is highly prestigious.
In association with The Times, the LDC Top 50 champions organisations with ambition, inclusion, sustainable impact, innovation and international growth. While Deazy didn’t quite make this year’s top 50, we were acknowledged as ‘One to Watch’. That's still fantastic company for us to keep and puts us in with a great shout of inclusion in the 50 for 2023.
Dragons Den investor Steven Bartlett has described the Great British Entrepreneur Awards as ‘The Grammy’s of Entrepreneurship’, and they are known for their glamorous awards ceremony and entrant excellence.
This year saw more than 5,300 applications, which makes it all the more rewarding to see Deazy’s CEO Andy Peddar shortlisted as a finalist in the Small Business Entrepreneur of the Year category.
Upscale 8.0 is the eighth iteration of the Upscale programme, which supports the UK’s fastest-growing mid-stage (Series A) tech companies to overcome common growth challenges and scale faster. The list of previous members reads like a 'who's who' of the great and good of UK tech, and we were so excited to be announced as an Upscale 8.0 member.
The companies in this year’s cohort have an average growth rate of 250% and collectively employ over 1,400 people, so we are mixing with some real success stories. It's an excellent opportunity to learn from our peers, as our CEO Andy states here.

We take enormous pride in our focus on and commitment to innovation at Deazy, so we are truly excited at our finalist shortlisting in the UK Innovation and Entrepreneurship category in the UK IT Industry Awards.
These awards are perhaps the most prestigious in the UK technology awards calendar. They are designed to celebrate and promote the organisations, teams, projects, technologies and individuals who have given so much and those who continue to help shape the future of IT, our industry and digital society.
Deazy has several locations across the UK and, earlier in 2022, opened our first European office in Barcelona. But we started life in Bristol, a majority of our team lives in and around the Bristol area, and the city remains very close to our collective heart.
So we were delighted to be named as one of the Top 10 Bristol Tech Companies by data platform Beauhurst. It tracks every high-growth company in the UK, including the funds and accelerators that back them to come up with the list, and we are very proud to be listed as one of Bristol’s top technology companies.
There is no denying that awards are exciting, and it's gratifying that others think we are building a strong business. But awards aren't what make us proud as a business.
That's always the incredible team we have built up over the years. It’s the people that make any business, and at Deazy, we couldn't hope to find a better and more likeable group.
Any award success is down to that group. Thanks to everyone in Team Deazy, and we look forward to continued success in the future.
TechRound annual 100 list celebrates the UK's most innovate start-ups and tech companies. The ranking highlights businesses who are new to the market and disrupting the industry.
Being included in the list, at number 69, following last year's inclusion in the 'One-to-Watch' list is an awesome achievement for our team!
